SFBAE Affiliation


SFBAE is recognized by the American Evaluation Association as sharing a mission consistent with that of the Association. As an affiliate, SFBAE works to strengthen the practice of evaluation in the Bay Area while supporting the national work of the AEA.

The American Evaluators Association

AEA is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. AEA has approximately 5000 members representing all 50 states in the US as well as over 60 foreign countries.







SFBAE Partners


Over the years, SFBAE has partnered with OPEN, SCEA and the Claremont Graduate School to organize networking events at AEA national conferences.


Oregon Program Evaluation Network (OPEN)

Founded in 1997, OPEN is an organization for residents of Oregon and Washington who are involved with or interested in program evaluation. OPEN allows for the exchange of ideas and information to promote and encourage high-quality evaluation practices. The members of OPEN represent government agencies, universities, and private consulting firms.

Southern California Evaluation Association (SCEA)

SCEA is an organization designed to assist those working in evaluation or related fields. Generally, SCEA provides a forum for evaluation practitioners to convene, network, and discuss issues related to the field of evaluation.

Since the late 1960s, the School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University has been a leader in providing graduate education in applied psychological science, evaluation, and applied research methods for "real world" settings. Many of our more than 1000 alumni with graduate degrees from SBOS hold major positions in evaluation and applied research in government, business, health care, consulting, community settings, and at major universities across the globe.
